A few weeks before this wedding, I went through to Crail to meet up with Beth & Andy for a look around and to work out where we were going to do photographs. The weather was…well, we didn’t stay outside for very long (being very diplomatic). I think getting too close to the harbour was a serious health hazard that day!

But, only a few weeks later and we had a glorious day in the stunning East Neuk of Fife.

These guys are absolute stars. So much of their wedding was completely DIY and it was obvious that so much love and attention had gone into all the details (much like Andrew’s proposal!).

Beth wore her Gran’s wedding dress (and looked amazing in it!)

Beth’s brother is also called Euan, but he doesn’t spell it properly!

Thankfully the harbour was much kinder to us on the day of the wedding. Totally love this place, I’m going back in the summer for sure!

Home made cakes, father-of-the-bride made cake decor, one of the funniest best man speeches (in video form) I’ve seen and a whole load of great people. Such a fun day, it was a pleasure to be a part of it. Huge congrats A&B!

A while back I posted some portraits of Kitty The Lion from this same shoot. Here are a few more, helped out by a facebook appeal for fairy lights, most of which made it to their respective homes in time for Christmas!

These guys have just finished recording their debut album which will be out later in the year. It’s probably going to be great. I’m excited!

Late last year I spent a day shooting with Kitty The Lion. I had a specific concept that I wanted to try (that will come in a later post) but I took advantage of having such handsome buggers to shoot a couple of series of portraits in a makeshift studio in my office.

Every day with The LaFontaines is like Christmas. No weird guys in red, but loads of fun! Had a great day with them shooting some new promo stuff recently. Above is one shot from a mad hasty between-screenings cinema shot (that ended with the next audience coming in to find one Font in his pants, don’t think they were expecting that from Django Unchained!!!).

And here is the image with all the poster treatment. If you’re in the Glasgow area and haven’t seen these guys play before, please try and get along. It will be an almighty experience!

For anybody into tech chat; I had an amazing 6ft+, voice controlled light stand attached to a soft box. Cheers Jim, legend!

So it’s a bit of a cliché to suggest that anybody (other than Dave Grohl, apparently) is the nicest man/woman/other in rock. But Washington Irving are definitely contenders for that particular non-existent crown. A truly lovely bunch of gentlemen. And they’re also pretty damn good as well. Bonus!

My good friends and oft colleagues Wake Up Advice (see above, looking perplexed) were making a video for the new WI single ‘Holy Company’ and I was there, camera in hand, sneaking around behind the camera to get a few shots of the days proceedings.

Taking a bit of a gamble with the Scottish weather at that time of the year eh? No more than any other month!!! And amazingly it was a beautiful day (then it started raining when it got dark, what timing)!

It was amazing spending the day with Lucy & Jack and seeing how much humour and fun they have in their relationship. Makes my job so much easier when they’re having a blast all day!

Their cake was actually made of cheese! Heaven!

There were bets running on the length of Jack’s speech. I didn’t win. Gutted!

There was even a groom shaped cameo on stage, much to the delight of Lucy!

Huge congratulations to both of you, it was a pleasure to be there with you for the big day!
